Steel, astm a-322 grade 4340, rockwell c 45-50 hardness, min yield strength 125000 psi, min tensile strength 140000 psi, o/a lg 32.250 in., 8 grooves 0.060 in. W x 0.030 in. Dp, 2 groove 0.120 to 0.125 in. W w/groove diameter 3.310 to 3.322 in., both ends 0.250 in. X 45 degrees chamfer, 125 microinch finish o/a except 250 microinch finish on both ends and 32 microinch finish on diameter as noted, 2 external retaining rings incl 1 at ea end, o/a diameter 3.495 to 3.497 in.
