Special Features:
The audio distribution unit is part of the oh-58d helicopters, and receives audio signals and control inputs from the intercommunication system (ics) panels pilot and co-pilot/gunner (cpg), foot switches and cyclic switches, other communication systems, control/display system (cds) components, and the improved data modem (idm). The adu is a self-contained unit that provides switching, matching, and audio distribution for the oh-58d helicopter. The oh-58d helicopters audio from the pilot or cpg microphone is routed through an ics panel, the adu a community security (comsec) unit, when installed, and to a selected radio for modulation and side tone generation. The test set is for troubleshooting and acceptance testing for depot level repair and production acceptance.
