Special Features:
Benzoic and salicylic acid ointment, usp; 4 gram tube; trade name: bensal hp; topical ointment; external treatment for inflammation and irritation associated with many common forms of dermatitis; designed to provide moisture to wounds; conditions include complications associated with pyodermas, especially in chronic wounds; also used in treatment of insect bites, burns, and fungal infections; contraindicated for use in patients who are hypersensitive to topical polyethylene glycols; contains 60 mg benzoic acid and 30 mg salicylic acid per gram in a base of polyethylene glycol 400, polyethylene glycol 3350, and 30 mg of a proprietary red oak bark extract (qrb-7); store between 15 and 30 degrees c (59 to 86 degrees f); shelf life: 3 years
